Riverbed Appoints New VP of Sales in EMEA

Industry Expert Kristian Thyregod to Drive RPM Business Sales Across EMEA

Riverbed Technology announced the appointment of Kristian Thyregod, who joins as Vice President of Sales, for the Riverbed Performance Management (RPM) Business Unit in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Thyregod assumes responsibility for all sales aspects of the Riverbed RPM business in EMEA.

With the acquisition of OPNET Technologies, Inc, Riverbed Performance Management solutions include the Cascade application-aware network performance management (NPM) and OPNET application performance management (APM) product portfolios, to deliver a unique combination of end-user experience monitoring, transaction tracing, deep component monitoring, and IT infrastructure/network management. Riverbed provides the IT function with the visibility and actionable insight to help deliver the application performance that users and businesses demand.

Willem Hendrickx, Senior Vice President of EMEA sales, at Riverbed said, “Kristian comes to Riverbed with extensive experience and a successful track record selling enterprise management software solutions – both direct and indirect. In addition, Kristian has been running global channel sales and channel marketing functions, and he will play a key role in driving continuous growth and expansion of our RPM business in EMEA.”

Thyregod joins Riverbed from CA Technologies, where he was responsible for running the EMEA solution sales organization for both New Enterprise and Growth Market segments. Prior to this, Thyregod held senior management positions at Navision (ERP) before moving to IBM and later EMC. Thyregod also holds board-of-director and advisory board positions at Portalized, Debriefing software and santoku management, LLC.
