Industry Veteran to Lead Company’s Drive to Position itself as the ‘Network Provider of Choice to the World’s Data Centers’
Brocade announced that IT industry veteran Christine Heckart has been appointed as the networking company’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and will report directly to Lloyd Carney, the CEO. Heckart who has 25 years of experience in developing business and marketing strategies and positioning new technologies and innovations for the market, joins Brocade from ServiceSource International where she served as EVP of Marketing, Strategy, People & Systems and was responsible for all aspects of the global corporate marketing organization.
In her new role at Brocade, she is responsible for designing and executing marketing plans and strategies that will drive brand awareness and recognition and position the company as the datacenter networking provider of choice. Demand generation campaigns are another area that she will be tasked with. Heckart joins the company at a time when Brocade is leading innovations in the networking arena in technology areas like storage area networks, software-defined networking, network functions virtualizations, and Ethernet fabrics for datacenter networks.
