SteelApp Traffic Manager 9.7 Expands Security and adds Microsoft Azure Capabilities to Optimize Application and Data Performance across the Hybrid Enterprise

Riverbed Technology has announced new features for Riverbed Steel App Traffic Manager. As companies evolve toward the hybrid enterprise model with private assets on-premises and public services in the cloud, they face new performance challenges — including greater architectural complexity and blind spots for support, management and security.

As Taj ElKhayat, Managing Director for Middle East, Turkey, North, West and Central Africa, Riverbed Technology puts it across, “Companies are going hybrid in droves, extending their data centers to the cloud, and then often struggling with complexity and performance challenges. Riverbed SteelApp Traffic Manager 9.7now delivers greater protection against the latest app-level attacks and simpler manageability in the cloud.”

New features of SteelApp Traffic Manager 9.7 include stand-alone Web App Firewall(WAF), support for Microsoft Azure VHD deployments, progressive image download capability etc. Riverbed SteelApp Traffic Manager 9.7 is generally available now.
