As part of its expansion strategy, Ricoh will be participating at DISTREE EMEA

Ricoh is expanding its channel network to include power retailers and resellers across the Middle East for their range of consumer printers, including its GelJet printer range. As part of its expansion strategy, Ricoh will be participating at DISTREE EMEA scheduled to be hosted from11-14 February 2014.

Ahmed Kamal, Regional Sales Head for Middle East & Africa at Ricoh’s International Division, said, “During the event we will be showcasing our new product range, including GelJet printers – a cost effective and eco-sensitive alternative to laser and inkjet printers for homes and offices. We are currently in the process of developing a partner support programme for existing partners in the region.”

Ricoh has appointed Supra as its authorized distributor for UAE and FDC for the Levant region to expand its presence across some of the key retailers in the region. Ricoh offers a range of laser printers and multi-function printers – both colour and monochrome devices. Ricoh will also look to sell its GelJet range through the channel and build routes-to-market for its projectors.

“This year we have made a decision to enhance our product portfolio with more entry level printer models to be able to enter the small office home office (SOHO) segment,” explained Kamal. “In the Middle East, we haven’t worked within this segment before. Our colleagues in other countries started this process over three years ago and we can now leverage their experience to expand into this market segment. For home and small offices, the Ricoh SME print range is perfect, requiring little IT set-up and delivering time and cost saving features, ease of use and market-leading reliability.”
