GEC NEWS WIRER&M Cat. 6 UTP end-to-end cabling solution to deliver voice, data and video transmission across whole complex
Reichle & De-Massari (R&M) has been contracted to deliver a high-performance, end-to-end cabling infrastructure solution for the Panorama commercial and residential project in Oman, comprising of R&M’s proprietary Cat. 6 UTP connectivity technology. The high-performance cabling solution for voice, video and data transmission will provide the backbone for delivery of reliable, secure and high-speed internet, IPTV, CCTV, videoconferencing and similar modern day communication applications.
The cabling solution comprises 4500 points of R&M Cat. 6 copper cables enabling upto 10Gbe connectivity and supporting applications with bandwidth of up to 500 MHz. Installation of the R&M cables which is expected to be completed by March 2014, is being carried out by the cabling vendor’s partner, Al-Jassar Telecom (AJT), a company that has been providing high quality ICT products and services to the industrial and construction sectors in the Sultanate of Oman for nearly two decades.
