Organized by Enterprise Channels MEA and powered by Toshiba, the Storage360 roundtable held in Kuwait on 6th March 2019 at The Millennium Hotel touched upon some key aspects of the country’s storage and surveillance market.
The roundtable attended by a right mixture of CIOs and channel partners was highly successful in putting forward the regional appetite of the country in embracing innovative storage models.
The explosion of big data and the penetration of IoT devices have driven the need for increased memory capacity in enterprises and day-to-day life equally. Innovations in speed, capacity and interfaces have been re-writing the DNA of next generation enterprise storage. As data dwells in the modern enterprises as the new currency it becomes equally important to have a next-generation vault that is intricately built to not only store it, but secure it as well.
“Toshiba has a dedicated storage and analytics division which predominantly focuses on big data and IoT solutions and that is a separate division and department altogether,” said Santosh Varghese, VP, Toshiba Gulf FZE.
Toshiba recently launched the 16TB in the market going by the prediction that by the year 2025, 166 zettabytes of data will be produced. There is need for bigger capacity drives that are more efficient and less time and energy consuming.
