Dubai Police and Avaya Show Virtual Smart Government Services at GITEX

Dubai Police to be the first public sector entity to demonstrate smart government services running on Avaya Smart Connect solutions

Inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to transform Dubai as the world’s smartest city, Dubai Police and Avaya will jointly showcase a range of Dubai Police smart services on Avaya’s smart communication solutions at Gitex Technology Week 2014.

Dubai Police will be the first public sector entity to experiment extending its services to smart self-service stations, similar to ATMs, and running video conferencing capabilities of Avaya Smart Connect solutions.

According to Nidal Abou Ltaif, president, Global Growth Markets, Avaya, their partnership with Dubai Police exemplifies how UAE is leading the shift towards smart governance, with the aim of stimulating innovation, growth and prosperity to its people.
