In what can be stated as the first media appearance of Basil Ayass since he joined Nutanix, the Regional Director of Middle East talks at
length about his new visions, goals and ambitions for a #Hungry #Honest and #Humble Nutanix.
According to Basil, these three keywords are what attracted him to Nutanix. “The ethos of the company is built around these three words,” says Basil. “We are hungry for business, hungry to delight our customers, hungry to ensure that our products and solutions offer supreme customer experiences. Hunger also means that we do not sit on our laurels. In today’s market it is a David fighting a Goliath, hence companies need to be one step ahead in the game and think outside the box. Being humble is all bout having our feet
firm on the ground, no matter how successful we are. This is an attribute that I have seen in the air of Nutanix— in our office culture, our partner engagements or even internal communications. Honesty in Nutanix means being direct and knowing our strength. We will always undercommit but over-deliver.”
Talking about the Nutanix competency, Basil says that in the digital era today, technology is no more an enabler but a driver of transformation. “Technology not only needs to be agile, but also flexible and simple. We are very excited as we are embarking on a new journey to provide subscription-based services to our customers. This is like subscribing to a Netflix service or any services as such.Ifyou do not like it, you can unsubscribe in one click. We are so confident of our solutions and customer satisfaction that we are moving our licenses to subscription model and this is valid for any hardware, hypervisor or cloud. Nutanix was born with the concept of helping consumers bring great simplicity into the enterprise.”
