GEC NEWS WIRECisco and Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Dubai signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during GITEX GLOBAL – the biggest tech & startup show in the world aimed at modernizing the university’s network infrastructure with Cisco’s advanced switching solutions and Cisco Meraki Wi-Fi. The agreement also includes several educational initiatives designed to enrich the student experience, such as internship opportunities, exclusive webinars, and an enhancement of the university’s Cisco Networking Academy lab. The partnership also focuses on empowering women in technology through Cisco’s Girls in ICT initiative.
In partnership with Cisco’s Gold Partner, Cubit Technologies, select students from Manipal Dubai will be offered internships, giving them the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the ICT sector and apply their academic knowledge in real-world settings.
Cisco will host an exclusive webinar for students, covering topics such as networking, cybersecurity, AI, and other emerging technologies. These webinars will provide valuable insights into industry trends and the skills needed at their workplaces.
Cisco Networking Academy Lab Enhancement: Manipal Dubai’s Cisco Networking Academy lab will be enhanced with the latest technologies, providing students support in pursuing Cisco certifications and developing essential technical skills for the job market.
A key component of the MOU is the Girls in ICT initiative, which is designed to inspire and empower young women to explore careers in information and communications technology (ICT). Cisco will host a batch of female students from Manipal Dubai at its Cisco Dubai campus for a full day of learning, mentorship, and career exploration.
