The Veeam solution delivers 99.97% availability, recovers mission-critical virtual application servers in shorter timelines, has significantly reduced licence costs and delivered 30% ROI in the first year and its simplified management has enabled significant man hour savings.
In line with The Electronic Government Authority (EGA mission to implement integrated solutions using cutting-edge technologies EGA began heavily virtualizing its IT environment. However, the earlier backup solution was not designed for a virtual environment. “With complete virtual infrastructure and mission-critical applications – representing 95 percent overall virtualization – we identified a shortcoming that needed to be urgently addressed. Veeam Availability Suite was easy to deploy, manage and offered rich reporting tools. We are able to retrieve and restore data that users request very easily within short time frames,” said Ms. Alia Al Kindy, Manager IT Services, EGA.
Veeam provided EGA with multiple levels of cost savings, rapid ROI, and simplified management as well as greater visibility and lower man-power requirements. With Veeam solution allowing EGA to reassign resources to tasks that drive business productivity, the implementation has been a big success.
