GEC Media Group and e-Safe Boost Women Safety and Empowerment at WTX

This International Women’s Day, GEC Media upheld women safety online in close association with e-Safe.

At the recently concluded Future IT Summit 2019, GEC Media Group and e-Safe introduced the WTX – Women in Technology Transformation. A 30-minutes power-packed session comprising four women leaders from the GCC; Alia Al Hammadi, ex Director of IT at ENEC and CEO and Co-Founder of Dubai Freelance Company; Aisha Suleiman Ahmed Al Ali, Managing Director of Experts Department, Ministry of Justice; Maya Zakhour, Head of Distribution and Alliances, Middle East & Africa, NetApp; Sherifa Hady, Interim Managing Director – South Africa and Distributor Director-Central Eastern Europe Middle East & Africa at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

The panel was moderated by Mohamed Mustafa Saidalavi. Mustafa is a Founder and Chief of 2 Not-For-Profit Organization in UAE & India and 25 years of stellar IT professional and humanitarian career in UAE. An internationally recognized social entrepreneur, Mohamed is currently heading to build an Asia & Africa regional capacity on Child Online Protection.

The panel shed light on key areas as; Achieving Women Safety online in a Geography Agnostic Jurisdiction, Driving UAE towards a safer Haven for Women, From Empowerment to Further Peace, Safeguarding the digital footprint and integrity of women online.
