SANS returns to Dubai this November for the Gulf Region’s Information Security training event offering six intensive training courses, five of which have associated GIAC certifications. SANS courses are full of vital and immediately useful techniques that can be put to work as soon as participants return to their offices.
The event will take place at the Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Resort from November 5th – 17th, with three 6-day courses running in the first week and another three 6-day courses in the second week.
“Technical skills shortage, particularly in the cyber security arena, is a much discussed topic in Middle East IT industry. As the frequency and sophistication of attacks increases, the ability to mitigate attack will rely more heavily on businesses developing cyber security skillsets within their own organizations,” explained Ned Baltagi, Managing Director, Middle East & Africa at SANS. “The courses being offered during SANS Gulf Region 2016 will arm attendees with tools essential to the identification of vulnerabilities, mitigation of threats, and rapid remediation in case of security incident.”
Keeping abreast of current technology trends, SANS will be offering the newly updated course, SEC579: Virtualization and Private Cloud Security, led by senior instructor, Dave Shackleford. The course helps students understand best practices for configuring and designing virtual security controls and infrastructure.
