Veritas Technologies has made new leadership appointments for the Middle East, where it plans to expand its enterprise business and grow operations and the team at its new regional offices in Dubai, over the next three years. The expansion is in response to growing demand from customers in the region for a data management platform that provides greater insights into data and protection of what Veritas describes as an organization’s ‘digital currency’.

In his new role, Wilk will head the new leadership team and is responsible for the strategic development of the business in the Middle East, where the company aims to expand its operations across the enterprise market. “The appointment of Damian Wilk reinforces our commitment to the region, where he will lead the team as we support increasing numbers of customers in collecting, protecting, analyzing and optimizing their data,” said Mark Coates, Emerging Markets Leader at Veritas.
“Information is an organization’s critical business asset, said Damian Wilk, Senior Regional Director for the Middle East at Veritas. “The Middle East’s growing ROT data shows the regional market potential for our data management solutions and we aim to scale our business quickly to support our growing customer base. Working with our partners and supported by our Partner Force channel program, Veritas will be able to help customers develop strategies to protect their most valuable asset.”
