When considering Application characteristics in Enterprise there are many which do not have linear scaling, that is, the Compute and Storage do not scale linearly together. For such Applications, the customer needs to have a strategy away from HCI.
How are OR How should modern enterprises re-think storage?
Storage or the Data Repository is at the centre of all the intelligence an Enterprise could leverage for its business decisions. Therefore the right approach to the storage platform is the first step the Enterprise should invest in.
Considering the increased density of computing and data velocity in the Enterprise environment, it becomes imperative to consider the performance, data services and scalability of the Storage being considered.
The Storage should be considered as an essential service within an Enterprise if they are serious about Business Intelligence, Analytics, Artificial Intelligence etc. to power their business
How mature is enterprise storage-as-a-service market in the Middle East?
The Enterprise are using various components of the Storage Services already in their setup. However Storage-as-a-Service is a concept yet to catch-up. This does not mean that the Enterprise is not mature.
It is just a matter of packaging the Storage Services into a Xaas model.
Can your customers simply ‘Store and Forget’ their data or do they need to babysit it? How?
While the Enterprise are struggling to cope with the increasing Data velocity, Data management is altogether another battle which many Enterprise must come to terms with.
There is nothing called “Store and Forget” when it comes to efficient data management. Rather it is about “How“ the data can enable your business and “How soon”. Leveraging the intelligence from the Data is the key.
The demand for enterprise grade hybrid storage has been mounting? How well positioned are you and the customers for this models?
Hybrid Storage for Enterprise is an existing phenomenon and most of the Enterprise customer are well entrenched with the same.
However, the key differentiator in the storage sphere is adoption to an All Flash Array. The conventional belief (Myth) that “All Flash Array” is expensive when compared to the Hybrid Storage needs to be fixed with solid TCO Analysis. The AFA, with rich data services, far outweigh the performance and cost benefits derived out of a Hybrid Array.
The converged and hyper converged infrastructure have changed the technology landscape, what kind of adoption you see in the market for these vis-à-vis the traditional products?
The Hyper Converged Infrastructure has undisputedly caught the imagination of many Enterprises. While HCI has its use cases and made inroads into many applications, the linear scaling in-built in the Hyper Converged Solutions prohibits many Enterprise grade customers to take a complete plunge.
When considering Application characteristics in Enterprise there are many which do not have linear scaling, that is, the Compute and Storage do not scale linearly together. For such Applications, the customer needs to have a strategy away from HCI.
Are you making any special effort to develop the market? If yes how and what is the messaging to the market?
