How long has it been since you joined Zyxel? What was the most appealing factor about the company that attracted you?
I have been part of Zyxel, a trusted brand and pioneer in Networking Technology, since April 2017. Aside from its stability and resilience owing to its more than two decades of existence, what attracted me most to the company are its impressive international reach and strict adherence to the highest standards of excellence and quality. This global organization has given me tremendous opportunity to further grow as a person and as a professional who is eager to contribute to the organization’s continuous advancement and expansion. With my more than 18 years of work experience, I will help open up new value-added prospects and become an invaluable asset to the company.
Tell us in brief about your previous roles and experiences? How do you plan to utilize those experiences in this organization?
Prior to my current position, I am a former Regional Channel Sales Manager at Unify, a position I held until 2016. I used to be a Regional Sales Manager – Networking & Security (GCC & Pakistan) at FVC as well which saw me successfully managing enterprise sales and initiating new business meetings with CIOs and Executive Managers in an effort to establish new partnerships for the company. These previous roles have served as my strong professional foundation, enabling me to perform my tasks beyond expectations and implement more informed decisions in a timely manner.
What roles and responsibilities does your current role entail?
In my current position, my tasks involve managing day-to-day operations of the business unit; creating and implementing a growth strategy; coordinating the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports; providing direct management of key functional managers and executives in the business unit; and ensuring the development of tactical programs to pursue target goals and objectives.
Moreover, I make sure overall delivery and quality of the unit’s offerings to customers aside from engaging in key customer activities and overseeing key hiring and talent development programs. Part of my job also is to evaluate and decide upon key investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent; communicate strategy and results to the unit’s employees; report key results to corporate officers; and engage with corporate officers in broader organizational strategic planning.
In your current role, what is your responsibility towards your customers and partners?
I ensure that our services and facilities, wherever possible, are accessible to all. I also promote honesty and transparency in communicating with our customers and partners alike. Additionally, part of my job includes making sure that the workplace safety standards are being observed to build a positive working environment and efficiently implementing the workers’ compensation insurance.
