HID Global is a global manufacturing supplier for Trusted Identities. During the last few years, we have been taking customers through a journey on how we develop solutions. In 2014, we launched the mobile access which was the first step on the cloud services on how we managed and helped the customer to move smoothly from plastic card to mobile access.
At Intersec 2018, HID Global showcased its portfolio of trusted identity solutions which included HID Location services. HID Location Services is designed to address a growing market need for accurate, real-time location of an organization’s workforce. By combining innovative Internet of Things (IoT) technology with the power of Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi and cloud-based solutions, organizations can gain increased visibility into the location of their workforce in a facility.
We also demonstrated how HID Location Ser-vices and HID Condition Monitoring, monitors the location, performance, condition and health of assets and motorized equipment.
Tell us about Real Time Monitoring Services.
The Real Time Location Services (RTLS) helps facility managers, organizations, security managers to optimize the workplace best within the facility itself.
RTLS can save valuable time to locate required items and the right tools to be productive. For instance, if you install a fire/gas leakage safety alarm, you can analyze the location of the crowd, what you need to do to secure these people and also predict the future on how to avoid these incidents. RTLS comes in multiple applications and we are implementing this globally across various verticals like oil & gas, education, manufacturing, industrial, etc. It can work indoors as well as outdoors.
How has the security market evolved in 2017 and how did you close the market?
2017 has been a successful market for us. Last year, at Intersec and GITEX, we launched the mobile access and also made global agreements with global suppliers.

What are your plans for 2018?
When it comes to plans, we always take customers through a journey. The journey started with the cloud, then the mobile application and now we have brought them to Real Time Monitoring Services. The journey will continue with new solutions. Our customers are happy with the journey as every year we bring secured applications with added value such as working productively, travelling safely and operating smoothly.
