Digitization for your organization means –

Basically, Digitization is the process of converting all information of the organization into Digital format. In this format, information is organized in to discrete units of Data called bits and multiple bit groups are called bytes. From the organizations point of view, digitizing information makes it easier to preserve, access and share. Main advantage is that large amount of data can be stored using a limited storage space and data storing and retrieving process is more systematic, cost effective and organized.

The most challenging phase for your business has been –

In fact, in the current competitive market conditions, every segment in the “business life cycle” has become challenging. However, according to my experience, the “start-up” process out of the rest of the processes (development, start-up, growth, expansion and maturity) is the most challenging one. The main challenge in this phase is the huge amount of RISK that the business has to face in delivering a new product in to the market in order to gain the expected rewards. In this phase, listening to the feedback of initial customers and taking step to improve their satisfaction is key for the long-term success of the business.

What technology or solution would you be looking into to improve your business operations?

In order to improve the business operation and guest experience in our group I look forward to implementing following solutions.

  • Mobile communication and automation – For instance, technology driven check-in for the guests by saving time and proving more flexibility. To introduce a Concierge App (Pocket Concierge) which can be used to access all concierge related services in a personalized manner.
  • NFC technology and the Smart Room Keys – This solution will completely eliminate the manual key cards. Instead a mobile will allow the guest to access the door by simply placing the phone against the key card reader. This will ensure another innovative way to improve the guest experience with a key less entry to the room.
  • Integrated Seamless Experience – This solution will improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal communication processes. For instance, a guest complaint will instantly be communicated to the concern departments for immediate actions through the automated system.

Your market verdict –

We all operate our business in an ever-expanding IT oriented market condition. Meaning, that new technologies will continuously flow in to the market by outdating the existing solutions rapidly. Therefore, the key for success in this IT oriented market environment will be determined mainly by how soon an organization will acquire and adopt to these new technologies. Accordingly, the existing and upcoming organizations should be ready to invest enough funds to continuously upgrade the IT infrastructure in line with market changes and requirements.

What is your 2018 resolution? What goals to you have for your organization?

In line with overall business plan, I am glad to share my resolution for year 2018 which has been set with the goal of implementing a centralized IT environment for the group. Following points are the main highlights of the goals set.

  • To obtain latest and most advanced hardware and software compatible with the requirements of the organization for centralization of the entire IT function.
  • To maintain the capital expenditure of this project at a very effective and competitive level as approved by the annual corporate capex budget.
  • To draft and issue all corporate IT policies, flowcharts and procedures pertaining to this major implementation.
  • To provide all concerned users with necessary IT training to assist in adopting to the new centralized IT environment.
