The German University in Cairo has collaborated with Red Hat to create the ‘The German University in Cairo Red Hat Academy’. Red Hat Academy is an open source, web-deployed and web-managed education program that is designed to provide turnkey curriculum materials to academic institutions to start and sustain an open source and Linux curriculum program.
German University in Cairo focuses on a state-of-the-art ‘best practices model of education’ approach of integrating Academia, Research, and Industry together. It aims to produce the most comprehensively prepared, multidisciplinary and innovative graduates who are able to effectively deal with challenges created by the global economy and play leading roles in their areas of specializations. It provides continuous training and professional services to the public, helping individuals acquire up-to-date knowledge and experience. The agreement with Red Hat is a sign of the University’s firm commitment to providing students with access to the latest technology trends and helping them develop cutting-edge knowledge and skills in order to prepare them for a competitive job market and enhance their career prospects.
Red Hat Academy turns academic institutions into centers for enterprise-ready talent by outfitting them with Red Hat training. For more than a decade, Red Hat Academy has supplied high schools and institutions of higher education worldwide, that have the required technology and support environments, with hands-on instruction, curriculum, labs, performance-based testing, and instructor support. Red Hat Academy’s web-based curriculum helps create competencies through hands-on, performance-based learning and testing.
