Arabian Gulf Switchgear (AGS), has selected IFS Applications 10 to support its engineer-to-order operations.

To cope with the tremendous construction activities in the Gulf region, AGS has quickly scaled its operations to manage production and storage. The company had outgrown its legacy system that was operational for the past 25 years and required a single, integrated enterprise solution that could modernize all core business processes including finance, supply chain management, customer relationship management, projects, manufacturing, document management, HR and payroll.

“We selected IFS Applications 10 because of its technology platform, which can run on any device, its intuitive interface and lobbies,” said AGS managing director George Pandehis. “Furthermore, IFS’s strong manufacturing solution coupled with strong service capabilities ensures we can scale as our business grows. Our ambition is to expand the service business to better support our customers and I am looking to digitally connect our assets through the IFS IoT Business Connector by using the resulting data stream to help automate everything from re-order to dispatch of a service technician. By implementing IFS, we will increase our operational efficiency.”

Luis Ortega, Managing Director at IFS for Middle East, Africa and South Asia said, “IFS Applications is perfectly suited to AGS’s project-based manufacturing business and its functionality can support them as they grow. Increasingly, manufacturing businesses in the Middle East are looking to grow service revenue streams, and AGS can capitalize on the servitization trend with IFS’s leading service management solution.”

Some of IFS’s recent wins in the Middle East include Callidus, Culligan, National Paints, Port of Duqm, AIC Steel, MEPC, MAB Facilities.
