The most important parameters on which enterprises choose optimal disaster recovery plan are Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO). “RTO was the major focus of most of the vendors.” he said. “Now as C level executives understand that even though RTO is important, RPO is even more important because it shows how much data is going to be lost. An Osterman Research report pointed out that already nearly 50% of decision makers would not tolerate any data loss for their critical applications.” Mr Orange sees this as one of the biggest trend in the market.
This trend came into existence primarily because organizations have to deal with more and more cyber-threats. “If we look at Ransomware alone, it is projected to sweep every 14 seconds in 2019. It is a major area of concern for any organization.” said Mr Orange.
