Regional Value Added Distributor Spectrami has announced a strategic distribution partnership with Lookout, the leader in mobile security, to provide mobile security solutions for modern businesses. Mobile devices are being targeted like never before because the majority of employees use mobile devices for business processes and few organisations have deployed mobile endpoint security.

In addition, phishing attacks on mobile devices represent a massive problem on a small screen. Phishing attacks provide the initial entry for the majority of cyberattacks and can be executed in many different methods on a mobile device besides email. These methods include SMS messages, WhatsApp, Signal, and Facebook messenger to name a few.

As a result, businesses are turning to Lookout for protection from the unique threats encountered across the entire spectrum of mobile risk. Lookout provides a highly scalable cloud- and mobile-first platform, with a privacy-centric approach that continuously protects users and enterprise data from the latest phishing, application, device, and network threats. The Lookout Security Platform offers the flexibility of easy-of-use modules for mobile protection, detection, visibility, analysis, response and remediation.

As part of the collaboration, Lookout solutions will be added to Spectrami’s portfolio, and will increase Lookout’s global footprint, enhance its delivery mechanism, and ensure excellent customer experiences.

“This new partnership with Spectrami means more enterprises can ensure their corporate data is protected, no matter where their employees are,” said Gert-Jan Schenk, SVP, International Sales at Lookout. “We’re excited to work with such a highly respected distributor; Spectrami really understands the the most pressing threats enterprises are facing today and how mobile security is paramount to protecting them.”

Anand Choudha, CEO of Spectrami, said “Organisations of all sizes are accepting the flexibility of user’s mobile device to be also used for business purposes by enforcing corporate policies. Lookout’s solution will further ensure the security and integrity of mobile devices and related applications in business environments. As most business users in the Middle East own at least two mobile devices, the need for mobile device security becomes imperative and Lookout is a clear market leader to address the growing demand for mobile device and application security.”
