Kingston Technology has worked with our data centre partners for many years with DRAM products that are covered by our legendary testing, a cornerstone of Kingston’s commitment to delivering the most reliable memory modules. Using these years of customer experience with our SSD know-how, we have released a full range of SSD for data centres and enterprises.

The DC450R, DC500 and DC1000M and DC1000B each have specifically focused features to deliver on the individual needs of the data centre. All of Kingston’s enterprise solutions are covered by our Ask an Expert service, Kingston care for free of charge post-sales support and Kingston’s first-class warranty support.

The demand for data centre solutions is growing rapidly as consumers are used to a digital on-demand world, with 5G on the way and driving the need for edge computing, satisfying this hunger for data requires data centres to keep up with technology trends.

These trends are developing the technology within the data centres as faster storage is required so we are seeing the move to NVMe as part of U.2 on both client and enterprise devices, and DDR4 3200MHz DRAM.

With coronavirus came new and unexpected pain points for data centres, the demand for data was set to explode with 5G and Edge, but as the world moved to working from home in a very short space of time, this data explosion came at a pace that was very unexpected.  The need to work from home has required a rapid deployment for both companies and data centres.

Data centres have seen a massive need for flexibility as they move from virtualised systems to Content Delivery Networks. As events have moved from the real world to virtual events, so data centres requirements differ as week.

Enterprise data centres have shown in the last few months that to survive they have to be flexible.  Before coronavirus, 5G and Edge computing would have been the main drivers for the demand of data centres, the rapid deployment of working from home is still underway and we wait to see the long-term impacts this will have on data centres and us all.

Our products will be tailored for whatever the next requirements of the data centre.  We have a full product range that will support whatever direction they go.

Demand for data centre and cloud spending is increasing in the Middle East during the past few years which lead companies like Microsoft, Alibaba, Amazon Web Services and Oracle to open their own data centres in the Gulf region.  We have also seen an increase in the amount of private data centres in the region, specifically in oil and gas, public sector and large corporate accounts.

Data centre technology must evolve: optimised storage capacity, faster servers, widespread use of hardware encryption and more effective compression.  We are also seeing the emergence of 3D NAND: high performance, high capacity, high scalability, flash technology.  Kingston Technology are ready to support with whatever our data centre partners need.
