Schneider Electric has appointed Leila Jebbari as the company’s General Manager for operations in Morocco. Jebbari joined Schneider Electric in 2018, taking on the dual role of Customer Experience and Sales Operations Vice-President in Francophone Africa and Islands Cluster. Her promotion to the general manager’s position makes her the first Moroccan woman to lead a multinational organisation in the energy and engineering sector in the country.
During her eighteen-year career, Jebbari has worked with a number of companies and organizations in the technology and communications space, including Intelcia, Webhelp Morocco and Dell. Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Jebbari held the position of Executive Director at Altice, an Intelcia Group’s subsidiary. Jebbari graduated from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées Paris and holds an executive Master of Business Administration.
“Since joining Schneider, Leila has led a number of major transformation projects. She has been able to create and then professionalize new functions and departments critical to our business in a record time. She’s created a strong, inclusive culture amongst her team, and I want to both congratulate her for the key role she’s played in terms of our achievements across the region, as well as wish her luck in her new position,” said Laurent Roussel, Cluster President Francophone Africa and Islands, Schneider Electric.
“I’m excited about the role, and the opportunity to lead the organisation to stronger growth. I see so many possibilities for us to support Moroccan companies and organizations in their digital transformation, to promote sustainable energy, and to be part of a generation that works towards making my country a pioneer in new technologies. There’s so much potential for us to create a leading knowledge economy here that will be an example to the rest of the region,” said Leila Jebbari.
