Nedaa is exhibiting the latest mission-critical technologies utilised for public safety and smart city development at Gitex.

The latest in the solutions, applications and devices operating through Nedaa’s 4G network will be displayed at the organisation’s pavilion located at the Sheikh Saeed Hall 3 of the event’s venue. These technologies, which also use Nedaa SIM cards, are offered by Nedaa’s technology partners Esharah Etisalat Security Solutions, Airbus, and Nokia.

By displaying its partners’ innovative tools that are critical to the work of first responders, relevant government authorities, and health and safety personnel, amongst others, Nedaa aims to showcase the role of its state-of-the-art 4G network, a major information and communications technology infrastructure, in accelerating the digital transformation of Dubai and the UAE and in supporting their shift to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Nedaa’s TETRA and 4G networks have been deployed in the Expo 2020 Dubai. For its 4G, which is already up and running completely, several government entities currently use the network.

Furthermore, Dubai Police will join Nedaa’s pavilion this year, one of the major highlights of the organisation’s Gitex participation, to exhibit its artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled smart patrol. The cutting-edge vehicle is equipped with high-tech cameras to maintain safety and order in Dubai community. Dubai Police’s presence at the pavilion demonstrates Nedaa’s continuing commitment to support the latest digital innovations and advancements in the area of public safety and security, as well as assist in Dubai’s steady digital transition.

In support of Nedaa’s commitment, Airbus has selected to bring to the fore during the premier exhibition the advanced features of its hybrid solutions, namely Agnet Unified Client, Agnet MM + Drone, Everus Manpack, Man size Dabat, and Tetra Solution Suitcase.

For Esharah, one of its technologies that will be on display is its computer-aided dispatch, SAGA (COMMAND & CONTROL), which is being developed by Nedaa and Dubai Police’s Transport Security Department. SAGA records all incidents and dispatches rescue teams in record time. Another is ACOM, Esharah’s complete mission-critical communication solution. ACOM delivers a robust, command, and control system, whether centralised or distributed, with unparalleled operational efficiency.

Visitors will find Esharah’s IOT (Internet of Things) – Asset Tracker being showcased at Nedaa’s pavilion as well. This technology is a low-cost, power-friendly way to track business assets. Designed to fit between the pallet stringers, the NimbeLink AT6 device leverages LTE-M Cellular Connectivity, WiFi, Cellular triangulation, and GPS for location services, and an accelerometer, light, and temperature sensor for condition monitoring.

Nokia, for its part, will conduct a live demo for its Integrated Operations Center (IOC) to show how it helps public safety agencies centralise their situational management capability. IOC enhances situational awareness and improves decision-making by integrating multiple application and system data sources, streamlining operational processes, and improving first responders’ response time through automated workflows.

Nokia other displayed innovative solutions are its SD-WAN technology, which allows enterprises to transcend their connectivity; Nokia Wavence, a microwave solution for all use cases covering short-haul, long-haul, E-Band and SDN-based management for enterprises; Nokia FastMile, a powerful end-to-end solution delivering sustainable throughput rates to fixed wireless subscribers who are looking to connect securely to Nedaa’s network; and Nokia small cell, a fast deployment broadband radio unit with the smallest footprint and is optimised for deployment in enterprises to provide the best in mission-critical broadband coverage.

H.E. Mansoor Bu Osaiba, Chief Executive Officer, Nedaa, said: “The 2021 edition of Gitex is another opportunity for us to engage with global visitors and highlight the latest mission-critical communication devices, applications, and solutions. Our technical team and that of our partners are on the ground to shed light on the most prominent innovations displayed in our pavilion and discuss how these technologies can further support the collaborative work of our first responders and emergency and security personnel, especially in times of emergencies. Furthermore, as the world continues to move to an ultra-connected future, we want to demonstrate during Gitex Nedaa’s role in establishing genuine smart cities in the Emirates as well as its contributions to the UAE’s preparations for the next 50 years.”

“We are proud to say that an increasing number of entities from the government and private sectors are now using our TETRA and 4G networks, which are deployed in the ongoing Expo. We seek to put the spotlight on this and our strategies that are fundamental to the digital transformation of Dubai and the UAE,” H.E. Bu Osaiba concluded.
