F5 has appointed Ehab Derbas as Senior District Sales Manager for Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Bahrain.

An industry veteran with over 20 years of experience, Derbas will assume overall responsibility for sales and strategic planning in KSA, Egypt and Bahrain. His previous roles include Country Manager and Director of Sales roles with Palo Alto Networks, FireEye and Bluecoat Systems. Most recently, Derbas was VP of Sales for ME at CyberKnight. He will report to Mohammed Abukhater, Regional Vice President for META at F5.

“Our presence is ramping up across the region and our partner-supported sales footprint is expanding. We will benefit greatly from Ehab’s deep experience and leadership,” said Abukhater.

“More than ever before, F5 is ideally placed to secure and deliver extraordinary digital experiences by simplifying traditional application delivery, enabling modern app delivery at scale, securing every application wherever deployed, and using data to unlock the value of insights and automation.”

Derbas said: “F5 has an outstanding team in the META region and there is signficiant potential going forward. There is a huge appetite for digital transformation across Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and I firmly believe F5 will play an increasingly influential role making it happen. This includes ensuring that we keep playing a key role in supporting era-defining initiatives such as Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Egypt Vision 2030.”
