The Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100 has been selected among strong competition by the Red Dot Awards jury of 38 renowned design specialists from around the world. Designed to support the needs of business professionals, the ultra-portable and very light Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100 comes with built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and lithium-ion battery to allow mobile workers to capture documents directly to smartphones, tablets, PCs and Macs via Wi Fi and to share data via cloud services.

“Our ScanSnap iX100 is a small and highly reliable scanning tool that greatly enhances efficiency,” said Mike Nelson, Vice President at Fujitsu subsidiary PFU Imaging Solutions Europe Ltd. “This accolade is further recognition that our ScanSnap scanner family mixes design, technology and functionality to match the current and future needs of our customers.”

First held in 1954, the international Product Design competition and its award, the Red Dot, is an internationally recognised quality seal. The adjudication process follows a canon of strict criteria, covering, among others, the degree of innovation, functionality, self-explanatory quality and ecological compatibility.
