During 2015 International CES, Ericsson will showcase a Networked Society where every person and every industry is empowered to reach their full potential. At the CES SuperSession on Jan 6, Ericsson CEO Hans Vestberg and other industry leaders explore how personal entertainment in the Networked Society is evolving.
Ericsson booth demonstrates how Volvo Cars, protective gravity sports gear manufacturer POC and Ericsson have joined together to create innovative safety technology connecting drivers and cyclists for the first time ever. The technology will establish two-way communication offering proximity alerts to Volvo drivers and cyclists and thereby avoid accidents.
Ericsson will showcase four key areas of the Networked Society, including: entertainment, driving experience, connectivity and its seamlessness.
In the Entertainment Redefined area of the CES booth, Ericsson will explore how technology is transforming the concert and sporting experience. The live experience is no longer a personal one, but one that is shared with one another and the community.
Powered by the Ericsson Connected Vehicle Cloud, Ericsson will demonstrate how connectivity with the car and its interaction with other vehicles elevates the experience for drivers and passengers on the road. Described as the “Internet of Things” (IoT), concept Ericsson will showcase how individuals, industries and cities can benefit from this new network where everything is connected. By the year 2020, there will be 50 billion connected devices – 6 for every connected person. Ericsson will showcase how this new experience will look and how it is being driven by today’s innovations.
