Industry veteran believes pervasive security is an enabler for the technologies of tomorrow

Intel Security has appointed Andrew Elder to the position of president of EMEA operations. In this role Elder will report directly to Scott Lovett, executive vice president of worldwide sales, and lead the operations and growth strategy for Intel Security’s EMEA business.

“Andrew is an exceptional business leader with more than 25 years of experience with high-tech companies. His deep understanding of new technologies and the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape gives Elder the perspective and experience needed to help businesses overcome the seemingly incessant security challenges they face today,” said Scott Lovett, executive vice president of worldwide sales.

“There are infinite possibilities just within reach for organisations, but many are held back from truly harnessing the opportunities that abound in technologies like IoT, Big Data or Mobile because of the security risk,” said Elder. “This has to change. Security is an enabler for the technologies of tomorrow, but only when it’s built in from the start and is pervasive and integrated.”
