Evoteq presenting smart city, AR VR, IoT, smart manufacturing at Gitex 2019

Evoteq, the region’s technology management partner, will showcase its innovations at Gitex Technology Week. Evoteq’s solutions are aligned with the UAE’s position as one of the digital economies and smart cities. This year, Gitex will focus on four technological segments: smart cities, augmented reality AR, virtual reality VR, the Internet of Things IoT and smart manufacturing. Evoteq is active in all these areas and will showcase several of its pioneering projects. The main attraction will be its Offices of the Future project.

Using virtual reality headsets, visitors to the Evoteq stand will be able to experience the technology solutions that the company is implementing at the new Bee’ah headquarters in Sharjah, which will be the smartest and most sustainable building in the region when it opens next year.

As the first fully AI powered office building in the Middle East, the Bee’ah HQ will have an array of smart building solutions, designed by Evoteq, in partnership with Microsoft, and Johnson Controls. These functions will optimize energy efficiency, make the best use of available space, and help the building’s occupants be more productive through a virtual AI persona that will assist in day-to-day activities.

A smart transport video will also be on display that unveils Evoteq’s new ICT technology, which will enable the sustainable development of cities. The system helps governments enhance city management, quality and efficiency. This also enables enterprises to leverage innovative technologies to improve their competitive edge, and also brings convenience and benefits to citizens. Key components of this ICT technology platform, which are all vital elements of building a Smart City, include IoT, big data, cloud computing, AI and Analytics, and blockchain.

Part of this presentation will also include Evoteq’s Smart Transport initiative, which reimagines the future of a city’s transport management system.

Evoteq will also demonstrate some use cases for its SmartTrack platform. The advanced serialization and tracing system track serialized products from the point of production to the consumer, and is a GS1 compliant solution, which ensures global supply chain integrity and means it can be readily deployed across many verticals. Examples of these categories on show at Gitex will include automotive, luxury goods, food, soft drinks and medicines. The latter category will feature in a live demonstration, with an app that scans the GS1 codes and dashboards.

Visitors to the Evoteq stand can also view a video recap of the SAPEQ project, the largest municipal digital transformation project in the region, undertaken by Evoteq for the Sharjah City Municipality. Through this ambitious undertaking, Evoteq will digitize all services, increase organisational efficiency and support the Municipality in achieving customer happiness. Evoteq has undertaken several other large-scale projects in the region; such as Sharjah’s first blockchain platform: a state-of-the-art waste permit portal, customized for the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority.

Jihad Tayara, CEO of Evoteq, commented on the initiatives on display at Gitex: “We are proud to showcase our work at Gitex, the region’s premier technology event. Evoteq is leading digital transformation in the region, working closely with our partners to develop disruptive technology solutions that increase efficiency, support growth, and create better customer experiences. As a developer of next-generation solutions, we are enabling digital transformation and the UAE’s transition to a digitally empowered future.”
