Amplifies the ongoing relationship and integrated value between Citrix and Microsoft with new cloud provisioning and collaboration optimizations

Citrix recently released its XenApp and XenDesktop. It has also set stage for the upcoming 2016 Q1 release of XenApp and XenApp 7.8 at the Citrix Summit 2016. This accelerated pace addresses more app and desktop use cases with the existing implementation, accelerates the delivery of applications across the enterprise, and simplifies IT management of end user computing.

This 7.7 release amplifies the ongoing relationship and integrated value between Citrix and Microsoft with new cloud provisioning and collaboration optimizations, enhances the flexibility of the FlexCast Management Architecture (FMA) across multiple geographical locations, and simplifies application management with the following key features.

XenApp and XenDesktop simplifies app management by layering apps onto a master OS image with AppDisk. It also has integrated AppDNA compatibility testing for applications layered with AppDisk and seamlessly manages Microsoft App-V packages. The release also claims improved app publishing experience, and enhanced graphics performance for virtual desktops.
