Malienko succeeds Christoph Dobler, who was appointed as Interim Head of Region MEA since May 2020 in addition to his responsibilities as Head of Commercial Operations for the EMEA region, a role which he retains.
Malienko brings over 20 years of sales, marketing and country management experience in the ICT industry with leading brands across Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Most recently, he held the position of Director of Sales, Eastern Europe, Russia & CIS, Middle East & Africa for WACOM. Prior to this, he headed the Eastern Europe and CIS markets for Fujitsu Deutschland GmbH; headed sales of Security and Smartcard solutions in South and Eastern Europe for Mühlbauer High Tech Intl AG, and was Sales Manager for Central and Eastern Europe at Winncomm Technologies.
“Alexander is a highly skilled and well-credentialled leader in the ICT industry, with a particular insight into the diverse and unique Middle East and Africa region which will be invaluable, making him the perfect choice to spearhead our development there. We are grateful to Christoph for his commitment and diligence in taking on two senior roles for the past year. Under his direction, the Dynabook MEA business experienced significant growth and success and we are confident that Alexander will continue the accomplishments of his predecessor, and secure our leadership position in this exciting and important region,” said Damian Jaume, President of Dynabook Europe.
“I am very much looking forward to joining the Dynabook MEA team,” commented Alexander Malienko. “Dynabook is an innovative company with an impressive line-up of products and services leading the way in the B2B community, as well as a distinguished heritage with Toshiba. I look forward to broadening our reach across the MEA region with both the classic notebook business as well as the state-of-the-art mobile computing solutions including assisted reality applications. We will also look to expand and strengthen the partner network and further develop the Dynabook brand,” he continued.
