AppViewX, a leading provider of Certificate Lifecycle Management and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions, is participating at GISEC 2025 in collaboration with Bulwark to showcase its platform and raise awareness among both channel partners and enterprise customers. With an established presence across the GCC region and a growing roster of prominent clients, the company is focused on expanding its visibility and deepening engagement in key markets. Everyone is talking about cybersecurity. How does AppViewX fit into that space?
Cybersecurity is a huge umbrella, and nearly every vendor today claims to fall under it—rightfully or otherwise. From our perspective at AppViewX, we’re seeing a growing trend around non-human identity management. That includes certificate lifecycle management, PKI, secrets management, shared credentials, and so on.
Certificates have been around forever. The challenge is, many organizations still manage them manually—often through spreadsheets or a single admin. With industry giants like Google, Apple, and Microsoft driving a shift toward shorter-lived certificates, effective certificate management has become critical. Add the looming threat of post-quantum computing, and it’s clear that organizations need to rethink their approach.
One of our key differentiators in this region is that we offer both cloud and on-premise deployments, which is particularly important for GCC customers who prioritize local control and compliance.
What kind of enterprise challenges do your solutions address?
There are many use cases, but from a cybersecurity standpoint, one major concern is around external-facing certificates. Attackers often scan for expired or weak certificates as easy entry points into a system. By helping organizations monitor and manage certificates across their entire infrastructure, we eliminate that attack vector.
How does AppViewX view AI in cybersecurity?
AI isn’t new. Tools like Alexa and Siri have normalized it. But in cybersecurity, AI’s primary value—so far—is in automation and pattern recognition. Instead of a person manually correlating data points, AI connects the dots faster and more intelligently.
For us, AI enhances automation. It’s about having a machine perform actions that used to require human intervention—especially in certificate discovery, renewal, or anomaly detection. We’re also exploring how to integrate AI further into our own platform, particularly for intelligent certificate lifecycle decisions.
Where do you see the biggest cybersecurity gaps in the next 12–18 months?
In our area of expertise—identity and certificate lifecycle management—the biggest gap is in managing non-human identities. Analysts estimate that non-human identities outnumber human identities by four to five times. Think about it: how many people at GISEC are carrying two phones? Add laptops, tablets, wearables, servers, routers, printers—each has an identity.
Organizations are only now beginning to recognize the need to manage these assets centrally. That’s where we believe a significant opportunity lies.
How do you ensure customer success with your solutions?
Customer success starts from day one. It’s not about wrapping up a project in two weeks—that’s not realistic—but about showing early value through clearly defined milestones.
At AppViewX, we work closely with both customers and partners to create success moments along the journey. Our partners in the GCC are highly skilled and understand how to integrate multiple solutions into broader cryptography programs. We’re just one component of a bigger ecosystem—but we’re a critical one.
Any final message for the CISO community here at GISEC?
I’d encourage CISOs to keep an open mind. Don’t rely solely on legacy tech providers to solve modern problems. There’s a wave of innovative, emerging cybersecurity technologies—and yes, not all of them will survive, but many will redefine how security is managed.
