CA Technologies recently hosted an Application Programming Interface (API) Academy event in Dubai to help organisations deliver more confidently and quickly the Cloud, mobile and composite applications that run today’s business services.
This inaugural, half-day API Academy provided the education that enterprise architects, software development managers, security managers across enterprise organizations in the region need to build better APIs and execute on their broader API strategies.
Explosive growth in mobile apps, Cloud services, developer communities and the Internet of Things is driving organisations to open up valuable data through APIs. These APIs allow organisations to open their backend data for reuse in new application services, specify how different software components interact and enable data to be shared between these components. Exposing data and application functionality to external users, apps and machines in this way potentially opens new routes to market and revenue streams.
