To unveil Cisco ASA with FirePOWER Services – supposed to be the industry’s first and only adaptive, threat-focused Next Generation Firewall at the event

Cisco is organising an IT Security seminar titled ‘Security Beyond Traditional Defenses’ for its customers on December 15, 2014 at The Conrad Dubai. Addressing the evolving cyber security threat landscape, senior executives from the company will highlight the importance of next-generation security solutions from Cisco that deliver advanced threat protection across the entire attack continuum before, during, and after an attack. Cisco will also unveil Cisco ASA with FirePOWER Services – the industry’s first and only adaptive, threat-focused Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) for its UAE customers at the event.

“Cyber security threats are growing even more sophisticated and organisations are working harder to protect their IT systems against attacks in a fast-changing threat landscape. The potential threat of cyber attacks in the Middle East has also seen a steep rise making regional enterprises susceptible to these attacks. Increasingly regional organisations know that it is not a question of if they are attacked, but when they are attacked. Now more than ever, they need to be able to implement dynamic controls to manage the pace of change of their environments and address security incidents,” says Anthony Perridge, Security Sales Director, Cisco.

The seminar will be held from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on December 15, 2014 at The Conrad Dubai. Rabih Dabboussi, Managing Director, Cisco UAE will open the event followed by a keynote by Anthony Perridge, Security Sales Director, Cisco on the threat landscape.

Other presentations include ‘Cisco Security Strategy Overview’ by Andrew Cowley, Security Account Manager, Cisco, ‘Cyber threat Defence’ by Marcus Josefsson, Channel Sales Director, Lancope and a live demo on Cisco ASA with FirePOWER Services by Mahmoud Rabi, Consulting Systems Engineer – Security, Cisco with discussions on the NSS Labs report findings.
