Comguard and Centrify Come Together for Tightening the Identity & Security Fences of the MEA Organizations
If some partners are made in heaven, IT media houses in the UAE had a unique opportunity to witness a partnership being signed on ´Waters´.
In a grand yacht party, Comguard welcomed on board Centrify as its new ´partner in security´. “We are happy to announce that we have partnered with Centrify and we would be the proud and sole Value Added Distributor of Centrify for the Middle East market,” said Jaydevan K. (Vice President – Operations & Vendor Management, ComGuard).
With GISEC around the corner, the partnership is all set to make some noise in the regional security market.
“One of the reasons we chose ComGuard is their experience in IT security. We were impressed by their expertise in the Privilege Identity Management area and are totally excited with this affiliation. We look forward to a bright future with Comguard.” Says Dr. Kamel Heus, (Regional Sales Manager | MEA & Indian sc).
Centrify is increasing the level of activities in the region, and is committed to its partners and customers in the Middle East. “Having recently established a local presence in Dubai Internet City, with a dedicated local team, we are closer to our customers and partner to engage in more strategic relationships. With massive data breaches making headlines every day, increasing security awareness will be high in our agenda. We will be organising a series of educational activities to help organisations strengthening their security posture and protecting against the latest threats. ComGuard market expertise and regional know-how will fully utilised to that effect” adds Dr Heus.
Centrify believes that traditional network security is eroding. Billions of dollars are spent each year on perimeter security yet organisations are still falling to simple attacks. Modern enterprises need to define a new perimeter that secures company resources that are located anywhere; including users, devices, apps, data and infrastructure. Identity is the new perimeter. The Centrify Identity Platform reduces risk by placing Identity at the center of protecting data. With unified identity management across cloud, mobile and data center IT environments, corporations benefit not only from heightened security, but from continuous compliance and improved ROI.
Asked about the latest customer trends, Dr Heus added: “We have seen a rise in customers adopting our traditional Privilege access management technologies, to secure and record access to critical resources. We have also seen an increase in customers adopting our IDaaS solutions, especially to manage access to company’s social media accounts and cloud applications”.
