GEC NEWS WIRETies Up with Premier Colleges in Tanzania to Create Skilled Network Security Professionals
Over the recent times, cyber threats have evolved faster than security experts could catch up; and shortage of adequate number of security experts is a woe of every organization. In such a scenario, instead of just complaining about the state of affairs, Cyberoam has gone a step ahead to do its bit in changing things for the better. Cyberoam Academy, part of Cyberoam has entered into collaboration with three colleges namely Tanzit Institute, Mufundi Institute, and Kaps College in Tanzania, Africa. The collaboration will help these institutes; provide comprehensive, results-driven Cyberoam certified network security courses to their students. The idea behind this collaboration is to open a world of possibilities to students of these colleges in the field of network security. Cyberoam, with its Cyberoam Academy, aims to provide state-of-the-art knowledge about network security that allows students to explore career opportunities in this field.
The market for network security is all set to boom in East Africa and there will be an increasing demand for information security professionals. Displaying a marked enthusiasm for this tie-up, Prof Angelo Mfilinge, Vice Chancellor of the three colleges, says, “We are looking forward to working with Cyberoam, a highly respected name in the network security domain. We have absolutely no doubt our students will profit from its comprehensive courseware and be able to use the knowledge gained to solve the myriad of cyber security challenges that are set to adversely impact Tanzanian organizations.”
Ajay Nawani, Chief of Cyberoam Academy says, “We are not limiting this tie up purely to areas of training, research and development. We will also participate in joint community outreach programs and proactively facilitate knowledge sharing in the field of computer networks and network security.”
