Dubai Electricity and Water Authority received a certificate of commitment towards ISO standard ISO 27037:2012, which provides guidelines for dealing with digital evidence. The certificate also includes guidelines to assist with the identification, collection, and preservation of information. DEWA was granted the certificate following a series of evaluative audit and control operations. This enhances DEWA’s position and contributes to its experience in electronic and information security.

DEWA received the ISO certification based on criteria that includes procedures to ensure the safety and reliability of digital evidence by searching, identifying, and documenting the information, and preventing it from being lost.
