Dubai Health Authority has partnered with Healthigo in organising the Dubai Pink Ride 2018.
The Pink Ride Initiative is in aid of breast cancer awareness and will be held on Friday, 26th October 2018, starting at 6:30am.
The 13.5 km bicycle route will start behind the Sunset Mall, going to Burj Al Arab and will end back at the starting point. The 32.5 km bike route will also start behind the Sunset Mall, going to Burj Al Arab and further to the Etihad Museum and will end back at the starting point.
October is celebrated globally as Breast Cancer Awareness month. Healthigo believes that awareness, knowledge, and early detection can help fight cancer.
Commenting on the need for such public health awareness campaigns and Healthigo’s collaboration with DHA, Joseph Debs, Co-founder of Healthigo, says, “Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women and Healthigo realises that the best way to combat this is through awareness and early detection. We are proud to join hands with DHA to bring the Dubai Pink Ride to residents of Dubai. We continuously strive to drive the change towards a smarter and healthier community.”
Healthigo is partnering with Saudi German Hospital to bring free mammogram tests to women participating in this program. This is an effort to encourage women to get regular screenings done as a preventive measure.
