Do you call yourself a digital organization? If yes, why?
Developing digital culture in our organization has been a priority for the past couple of years. At present, most of the Departments such as Sales, Customer Service, Admin, Procurement, HR and IT are digitally enabled. Digital Mobility is also a priority. We make sure the emails and application data are accessible to the crucial departments remotely through VPN and encrypted channels.
What are your top projects for the next 6 months?
At present we are working on infrastructure upgrade with a central data-center storage with Cloud DR. Another challenging project is the Security upgrade with next-generation security, monitoring and analytics covering Network, endpoint and application security.
What are the key technologies challenges faced by your sector?
It is a challenge to keep up with the rapidly progressing streams of digital technology. Another uphill task is to scale-up the IT infrastructure to meet the requirements of the group concerns which are moving at a faster pace than projected.
What kind of vendor/solution provider engagement do you look forward to in 2018?
We may engage vendors on IT infrastructure upgrade, ERP software and Security upgrade. For bespoke application, web and mobile app requirements, we have a self-sufficient in-house team.
