The program is aimed at promoting the concept of Smart Governance among all current government employees and local university students
In line with the Smart Government initiative announced by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Smart Government (DSG) has commenced its mGovernment initiative training program in coordination with the Telecommunication Regulation Authority (TRA). TRA is the entity responsible for implementing the ‘mGovernment initiative training program’ to all Dubai Government departments and organizations.
The program is aimed at promoting the concept of Smart Governance among all current government employees and local university students, which falls in line with Dubai’s Vision 2021. TRA has chosen to implement eTransformation concepts in general and the smart government in particular.
To fulfil the same, 21 employees from the information security division of 10 different government departments have already taken part in the first training course on ‘Smart Phone Security.’
H.E. Ahmad Bin Humaidan, Director General of Dubai Smart Government, said, “We are honoured to work with TRA for the success of the training and education program, which would raise the qualifications and capacities of our government employees. We have communicated with various government departments of Dubai to ensure the candidate’s attendance for the specialized courses held by the department. This cooperation also includes the move to achieve the interconnected and integrated government concept, which guarantees upgrading the qualification of government staff—complementing the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Rest assured that we remain steadfast in our commitment to follow the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Council, to transform to a smart government.”
