Duxbury Networking has unveiled the latest generation of Axis network video intercoms. Their arrival comes at a time when South African businesses are actively investing in smarter, more connected security systems.
Built on trusted 2N technology and available as Axis-branded OEM models, the new intercoms provide a practical way to unify access control, video, and audio in a single device. The new models are fully compatible with the broader Axis surveillance stack and Milestone’s video management software.

Feature-rich models for every scenario
The new portfolio includes four models, each built to meet the needs of today’s dynamic security environments:
- AXIS I5304: A sleek 7” network answering unit ideal for reception areas. Designed for easy call handling and door control, it delivers high-quality video and two-way communication with built-in SIP and PoE support.
- AXIS I8307-VE: A premium outdoor-rated intercom featuring a fully customisable 7” touchscreen, integrated RFID reader, and a powerful 4K camera. Built on Axis’ latest ARTPEC-8 chipset, it also includes deep learning analytics and Axis Edge Vault cybersecurity.
- AXIS I8016-LVE: Compact, vandal-resistant, and rated IK10/IP69, this intercom is ideal for exposed or high-risk sites. It offers 5MP resolution, IR night vision, and SIP integration for seamless communication in any condition.
- AXIS A8207-VE Mk II: The flagship unit offering a 6MP wide-angle camera, dual microphones, RFID multi-frequency reader, and support for HID iCLASS. With onboard analytics, audio detection, and tamper alarms, it is a go-to choice for enterprise-grade deployments.
All-in-one visual access control
These new devices enable visual verification, secure entry, and remote management from a single platform. They support PoE for simple installation and integrate natively with Axis and Milestone infrastructures. Cybersecurity has also been prioritised, with features such as signed firmware, secure boot, and hardware-based secure key storage built into select models.
