EW-7822UAC is touted as the world’s first and fastest wireless USB adapter

Edimax Middle East announced the launch of EW-7822UAC wireless USB adapter. The launch sets a new global standard for Wi-Fi adapters with a device that is the first and fastest of its kind in the world, the press release announced.

The EW-7822UAC supports USB 3.0, the newest specification of the USB standard which specifies a maximum data transmission speed of 5Gbps. Approximately 10 times faster than the current USB 2.0 standard which specifies a maximum speed of 480Mbps. In other 802.ac adapters, data rates can be limited by USB 2.0 technology – the Edimax EW-7822UAC though presents USB 3.0 with blistering speeds for consumers to enjoy the fast, reliable Wi-Fi that their devices demand.
Dual-band connectivity delivers better performance and provides greater flexibility for consumers and their Wi-Fi devices. The 2.4GHz frequency band is ideal for routine web browsing while the 5Ghz frequency band, with less interference and more channels, is better suited to data-intensive applications such as video streaming and online gaming. The EW-7822UAC provides dual-band connectivity for the 2.4GHz or 5GHz band.

802.11ac is the next generation of Wi-Fi standard which delivers speeds of up to 867Mbps at 5GHz – almost three times faster than 802.11n. The EW-7822UAC supports the draft 802.11ac standard and is the first adapter to offer 802.11ac speeds together with USB 3.0 connectivity, making the EW-7822UAC USB dual-band 802.11ac adapter the fastest USB adapter in the world. Upgrade existing PCs and laptops to stream video, music or data at super high speeds of up to 867Mbps with the fastest USB adapter in the world.

EW-7822AUC distributed in Middle East and Africa by GCT company and its partners, the price of the product around 80 ~ 85 USD.
