EIAST Engineer Participates In Conference Held In USA

Saeed Al-Mansoori’s exploits reflect key role of Emiratis in UAE’s technological and national development at the SPIE Optics + Photonics conference

The Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology (EIAST) has announced that Saeed Al-Mansoori, an Associate Image Processing Engineer at EIAST’s Space Image Processing and Analysis Department, has successfully participated at the SPIE Optics + Photonics conference held recently in San Diego, California, USA.

Al-Mansoori chaired a session on Satellite Data Compression, Communication, and Processing during the conference organized by SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics. He also presented two research papers titled ‘Multi-Watermarking Scheme for Copyright Protection and Content Authentication of DubaiSat-1 Satellite Imagery’ and ‘Enhancing DubaiSat-1 Satellite Imagery Using a Single Image Super-Resolution.’ Al-Mansoori was also a member of the organizing committee of SPIE.

He is proof of the success of EIAST’s efforts to mold Emirati experts and leaders who can respond to the needs and challenges of the times,” added H.E. Yousuf Al Shaibani, Director General, EIAST.

I also had the chance to learn about the latest trends and best practices surrounding the field and will definitely apply my newly-acquired knowledge at EIAST.
