EMC revealed general availability for EMC Enterprise Hybrid Cloud v4.0, as well as planned enhancements for both Enterprise Hybrid Cloud and EMC Native Hybrid Cloud, designed to help customers advance their journey for both traditional and cloud-native applications.
Based on interviews with 660 EMC and VMware enterprise customers across 18 industries, the report indicated that respondents want IT organizations to be cost-competitive with external service providers and seek cost efficiencies by virtualizing, standardizing, and developing hybrid cloud architectures. Most organizations indicated they want to have a hybrid cloud architecture for their production applications within the next 18-24 months, with 90% reporting they are in the evaluation or proof-of-concept stage.
