The University of Dubai (UD) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with emt, a leading cybersecurity solutions and services provider in the Middle East and Africa region.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Eesa Bastaki, President of the University of Dubai, and Mr. Mo Mobasseri, Chief Executive Officer of emt, during a ceremony held in Dubai.
The MOU establishes a framework for cooperation between the two entities, with the following areas identified as key priorities:
- Promotion of initiatives and programs: Joint promotion of products, services, courses, and activities, including initiatives under the University’s C-SAR Center.
- Preferential access: Extension of preferential rates and offers on programs, services, and products to the employees and families of both parties.
- Research collaboration: Development of collaborative research and joint projects, particularly in the fields of cybersecurity and digital resilience.
- Student development: Facilitation of internship placements and practical training opportunities for University of Dubai students through emt and the C-SAR Center.
- Industry engagement: Delivery of guest lectures, seminars, and solution presentations by emt experts to University of Dubai students, providing direct exposure to current industry practices and technologies.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Eesa Bastaki underlined the significance of the partnership:

Mr. Mo Mobasseri added:

The MOU will remain in effect for a period of two years and reflects both parties’ intent to foster meaningful collaboration in support of the UAE’s national priorities in cybersecurity and digital resilience.
