F5 recently held two events in Muscat to demonstrate its latest enterprise AI security capabilities. Aligned with Oman’s National Programme for Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Digital Technologies, the F5 AI Security Platform offers continuous visibility and protection for AI applications, models, and APIs, addressing the growing risks associated with autonomous systems and shadow AI.
The first event, F5 Academy Oman, provided customers with dedicated training on F5’s solutions. The second, F5 Technology Showcase with Otech, brought together ODP customers and partners to discuss the cybersecurity and application delivery landscape, and how organizations can improve their cybersecurity posture as they adopt AI and cloud technologies.
Throughout both engagements, F5 emphasized how AI systems now operate with more access, autonomy, and speed than ever before, creating new risks for security teams and business leaders. At the same time, employees are adopting unauthorized tools and unsanctioned integrations, creating shadow AI footprints that most security teams cannot see, let alone govern.
According to F5’s 2026 State of Application Strategy (SOAS) Report, 88% of organizations reported at least one AI-related operational or security challenge.
Recent F5 portfolio developments in the spotlight included the F5 AI Security Platform, which gives organizations continuous visibility, governance, and protection across enterprise AI applications, models, agents, and the APIs connecting them.
Through a continuous, adaptive loop approach to discovering, testing, governing and protecting enterprise AI workloads, the platform extends F5’s Application Delivery and Security Platform (ADSP) strategy to enterprise AI.
The F5 AI Security Platform will continually evolve to support customer needs. Recent integrations include the enhanced F5 AI Gateway, which seamlessly enforces policies on every AI request. This gives enterprises a unified control plane to govern how AI models, agents, and tools are accessed and used, while optimizing the economics of AI at scale.
F5 also used the events to officially announce the upcoming availability of F5 Workforce AI Security within the platform. A new agentless offering, it gives organizations visibility and policy control across workforce AI activity, including employee AI use and actions taken by agents on users’ behalf.
