FireEye recently held a conference for its partners in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh. The rise of the region as a hub for banking, finance, aviation, tourism and real estate has made it a prime target for cyber attackers. Motivated by numerous objectives, threat actors’ capabilities and level of sophistication are rapidly evolving to steal more information, including personal data and business strategies, in order to gain a competitive advantage or to degrade operational reliability.
The FireEye Partner Conference, KSA, saw FireEye executives discussing how both public and private sector entities can counter the challenges of a steadily evolving cyber landscape to better protect information assets. Over the course of the event, partners were briefed on recent acquisitions by FireEye, such as iSight Partners, developments in the FireEye platform and the company’s partner strategy for 2016.
Mohammed Abukhater, Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa at FireEye said, “As the Kingdom introduces a wave of reforms and initiatives to drive the national economy, in line with the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030, organizations in the country need to be aware of modern-day threats and the potential danger they pose to everyday business operations. Now more than ever, they will find themselves in need of a solutions provider that can help them go from detection to fix in the shortest amount of time possible.”
