On 17th March 2022, Global CIO Forum launched the Global Manufacturing CIO Forum on the side-lines of the 8th edition of The Future IT Summit in the esteemed presence of Pratap Patjoshi, CIO of Mercedez-Benz India and Binita Prasad, Head of IT, Sany Heavy Industry India in The Future IT Summit MEA 2022 at The Ballroom, Level 4, Conrad Hotel, Dubai.

The manufacturing industry, today, is at the cusp of an uproar. Industry 4.0’s close intertwining with digital transformation has further propelled the CIO to look beyond the traditional delivery of IT infrastructure and services towards an unwavering business focus.

Speaking at the launch, Ronak Samantaray, Co-founder and CEO, GEC Media Group said, “Today we are launching the Global CIO Manufacturing Forum, but before that I would like to go two years back when the CIO manufacturing forum actually started back in India and for two years its been a great journey and then we decided to take it to the global platform as The Global CIO Manufacturing Forum; as we all know that manufacturing is one of they key element of the industry and at the global at the moment. As a CIO there is a big responsibility on the shoulders as to see how technology can help.”

Pratap Patjoshi, CIO of Mercedez-Benz India attended the launch of the Global CIO Manufacturing Forum in Dubai and said that in every forum, manufacturing is an integral part and that they had started that in India two years back and now they were there to launch it officially.

Global CIO Manufacturing Forum represents IT Executives and CIOs in the manufacturing sector globally. GMCF is a non-profit community of CIOs and IT leaders whose mission is to facilitate networking, sharing of best practices and executive development, and to collaborate on issues faced by the CIOs and IT Executives. The forum would also foster the growth of knowledge sharing platforms that will help the CIOs of the manufacturing sector develop relevant skill sets to realise the full potential of digital solutions and technologies that drive productivity.
