On a mission to improve road safety in the UAE, Fleet Management Systems and Technologies (FMS Tech) employs smart software to monitor in-vehicle activity. After the installation of its in-vehicle monitoring system (IVMS) devices also known as Telematics devices, clients have recorded an average of 84% reduction of over speeding violations, 79% reduction in vehicle accidents, 73% improved driver moral, 25% improved fleet utilization, 24% reduction of maintenance costs, and 18% reduction in fuel consumption.
The technology company is the only IVMS/Telematics provider offering the hardware and software design, development, and integration in the Middle East. The IVMS device is a recorder that transmits operator behaviour, vehicle diagnostics, and route optimization in real time through a secure cloud-based system. The information is stored and accessed through an online portal that can be accessed from anywhere and by any device connected to the Internet.
FMS Tech provides access to the cloud-based system and transmits alerts through the FMS Smart Track app for all Apple and Android smart devices. As for computers or web browsers, users can simply log on to the FMS Office 2000 monitoring software via FMS Tech’s unique URL. In order to connect to the secure FMS Tech server, access the real time data and receive notifications, all devices need to be registered through an authorization code provided by the company.
Operator behaviour alerts include the driver not wearing a seat belt, exceeding the speed limit, harsh braking and dangerous acceleration. These alerts not only send a warning to the driver to operate safely, but also to every device that the vehicle is registered to. They also provide asset protection to companies through control of their fleets and operators. Other sensor alerts include engine status, violation details, location, standing hours and speed limit.
“FMS TECH is approved by ADNOC for Oil and Gas IVMS solutions and by the Abu Dhabi and Dubai police for Non-Oil and Gas IVMS/Telematics solutions,” commented Bassam Alkassar, Founder and CEO, FMS Tech. “We have more than 13,000 vehicles running within the UAE which provide end-user security.”
