GCC Security Symposium and CISO Awards 2024 Concludes Successfully in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The GCC Security Symposium and CISO Awards 2024, held at the Hyatt Regency Riyadh Olaya hotel in KSA on 18th April, concluded successfully today, bringing together cybersecurity experts, thought leaders, and professionals from across the region. The Security Symposium focused on demonstrating the latest trends and concerns in cybersecurity, showcasing the commitment and dedication of Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity community in protecting businesses, infrastructure, and individuals from cyber risks.

Attendees and keynote speakers were welcomed by Anushree Dixit, Global Head – Content & Strategic Alliance, GEC Media Group, who shared the vision and aim of the GCC Security Symposium as an ideal platform to gain exceptional knowledge on how an agile BCM plan will bring increased flexibility and agility to every organization. This was followed by an enlightening opening keynote by Mohammad Manashi, Co-Founder of CAAS, setting the tone for the day’s discussions.

One of the highlights of the event was the Vendor Keynote by Mr. Tarek Kuzbari, Regional Director of Picus Security, who shed light on the “Top Ten ATT&CK Techniques: The Rise of ‘Hunter-Killer’ Malware,” providing valuable insights into emerging cyber threats.

The symposium also featured engaging panel discussions on topics such as SIEM and Response Management, moderated by Auoob Aldakael, Director of Risk Management, Government, and a session on “Developing and maintaining an ideal IAM/PAM role model,” moderated by Aatif Khan, Advisor CISO, Government Entity. The panels included distinguished panelists who shared their expertise and experiences in cybersecurity.

James Sherlow, Director of Solution Engineering, EMEA, Cequence Security, delivered an insightful presentation on “New Trends of Successful Cyber Attacks & Data Breaches,” highlighting the evolving nature of cyber threats and the need for proactive cybersecurity measures.
